Want to create a custom theme for SharePoint using PowerPoint?
Under the Design option in the PowerPoint ribbon, select Colors and Create New Theme Colors. Select File - Save As and choose “Office Theme” as your File Type Option. Enter a name for your theme and click Save.
Now that you have saved your theme, open SharePoint and click on Site Actions - Site Settings. Under Look and Feel, select Themes. Upload your newly created Office Theme and apply!
Want to customize the Quick Launch of your SharePoint site?
Click on Site Actions-Site Settings. Under the Look and Feel section, click on the Quick Launch link (click on the Navigation link if Publishing Features are enabled). From this page you can add headings and links as well as reorganize how they are displayed on the page.
Customize the Send To menu to include a custom location
To enable a send to option for sending files from one library to another quickly, you can add a custom library location to the context menu* by adding it to the Library Settings. To do this, navigate to the source library, and click on Library Settings in the library ribbon. Under the General column, click on Advanced Settings. In the Custom Send To Destination, enter the name and address for the target library and click OK. You will now see that when you click on the context menu of an item in the source library and select Send To, the library you specified is an option. Selecting this option will open a page to send to the target library.
*The context menu is also known as the edit menu or arrow down menu in SharePoint libraries.
